Boat Haul

M/Y Envision, our 110′, 160,000 lb environmentally friendly mega yacht, was hauled out of the water for maintenance and enhancement! To lighten the load, 7000 gallons of fuel and 350 gallons of water were removed and the hot tub was drained. Among the work being done; the entire vessel is being painted from bow to stern, the flooring in the galley is being replaced, the engine room is getting a total upgrade, a new auto pilot system is being installed, upgraded sound proofing and sound suppression systems are being installed, the stabilizers are being upgraded and much more!! The work is being completed by our multi-talented RGF Rangers!

Carrier Training

Carrier’s Dan Spiek, Wilson’s Refrigeration & A/C Service, Inc. and Conway Air Conditioning stopped by for a tour and training! Pro-Dev Rep Sean Wahl conducted the training about our industry leading air purification and filtration products, followed by a tour around our 7.5 acre compound. The group got to see how the REME HALO is manufactured from start to finish, and Manny Korley and Barry Bechtel even gave them an inside look at RGF’s industrial water treatment and AFL Industries, a division of RGF Environmental Group, Inc.

Extruder

AFL Industries, a division of RGF Environmental Group Inc., started in-house production of its Delta-Tube® and Delta-Tube® XTR oil coalescing media using a newly purchased, custom polypropylene extruder. AFL® uses the Delta-Tube® in VTC & CVF model oil water separators where it efficiently removes waste oil from stormwater and process water, eliminating discharge to the environment. This new manufacturing process signifies further progress toward RGF’s goal to become fully vertical.

We teamed up with Borg Warner in their continued effort creating solutions that support a cleaner world! This Thermo-Oxidizer is their second unit that was placed into operation to dispose of plant process waters. Under high temperature, the waste is reduced to ash. The Thermo-Oxidizer is designed for waste disposal applications such as; die casting, ink and paint waste, alkaline cleaners, machinery coolants, compressor wastes, textiles, heavy equipment, food processing, manufacturing processes, and more!

The kids explored “What’s in Our Air”, experienced our Electro-Mechanical Museum which showcases historical technology, learned about the engineering design process from one of our engineers, and even got a behind-the-scenes peek into how our REME HALO is made! RGF-BioControls Takes Guardian Air and Ice to Hospitals

RGF’s PHI Cell technology has been successfully installed and validated in countless industries. Now the Guardian Air and Guardian Ice are available to hospitals to help in the fight against Hospital Acquired Infections or HAIs. Installed in the HVAC duct work Guardian Air provides a continuous supply of advanced oxidizers throughout the facility to fight against infectious airborne pathogens. Installed in ice machines Guardian Ice provides the same continuous supply of advanced oxidizers to the ice machine reducing bacteria growth throughout the machine.

Hair-raising demonstrations

Astrid von Oetinger demonstrates the Van de Graaff generator in RGF’s Electro-Mechanical Museum. This unique museum contains over 700 pieces of rare antiquities by world-renowned inventors such as Thomas Kinraide, Sir William Crookes, George Westinghouse, Benjamin Franklin and Nikola Tesla. The early technologies represented are precursors to RGF’s technology with some of the world’s earliest ultraviolet lamps, ion (static electricity) generators and the oldest American-made electrical transformers. “The purpose of this museum is to preserve these rare early technologies and inspire future generations of innovators,” said Ron Fink, RGF President/CEO.

RGF China and Alphay 7th Annual Team Building Retreat

Despite increased tariffs on U.S. made products into China, RGF’s China Team continues to drive sales. Led by Sharon Rinehimer, Executive Vice President and Linda Liu, General Manager-China office, the team participated in RGF’s 7th Annual Team Building weekend in Gubei Water Town, June 14th – June 16th. Situated in Gubeikou Town of Miyun County about 1.5 hours north of Beijing, Gubei Water Town surrounds the beautiful Mandarin Duck Lake Reservoir and leans against the Simatai Great Wall, the most dangerous and majestic section of the entire Great Wall. Regarded as “Wuzhen” in Beijing, Gubei Water Town boasts a combination of mountains, water and ancient villages. The town is characterized by the northern architectural style, and the history and culture of the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and the Republic of China (1912-1949) historic period. The team participated in a new products and applications training program and team building exercises over the weekend as well as racing (climbing) up to the great wall and taking part in Gondola rides.

Over 80 attendees came to Fresh Air Solutions Co. Ltd seminar “Delivering Innovative Solutions to Manage Your Environment” introducing Astrid von Oetinger, International Sales Manager and RGF’s air purification technologies to the Thai market. Engineers, architects and consultants from various industry sectors including hotels, restaurants, food processing facilities, office building as well as from the aviation sector came to learn about indoor air quality, common IAQ issues and RGF’s award winning, patented PHI and REME air purification technologies to provide the best IAQ solutions. Fresh Air Solutions Co. Ltd. is RGF’s authorized IAQ products distributor for Thailand and is part of the Genesis family of companies.

M/Y Envision Relaunch

Envision goes back in the water after six months in the boat yard. Envision was gutted and completely rebuilt in 2004 including adding 10 feet aft and enlarging the bow! Every surface was redone. All new electrical, engines, controls, paint, appliances, navigation, etc! For Envision’s 15th birthday in 2019 we just did it all over again. Painted top to bottom. New everything! Upgraded hot tub, navigation, engines, auto pilot, stabilizers, etc. All work was done in house by our RGF technicians.

AFL’s Oil Stop Valve

AFL’s Oil Stop Valve proved its value for one of our utility customers when fire broke out at an electrical substation. Installed in the stormwater drainage system, the Oil Stop Valve closed on detection of the transformer oil spill preventing a major environmental issue. AFL’s Oil Stop Valve should be installed at any oil storage facility to ensure compliance with the EPA’s Spill Protection Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) guidelines.

Dealer Design Award

We won our 10th Dealer Design Award! The Element Air® Tower air purification unit brought home Silver in the IAQ category at the annual Dealer Design Awards competition hosted by the HVAC industry’s leading publication, The ACHR NEWS. The Element Air® Tower was developed by our R&D engineers with consideration and input from experts in the cannabis grow industry over a two-year period. Utilizing RGF patented technology, the unit addresses the problems of airborne and surface bacteria, mold and yeast common to grow facilities.

We teamed up with Sansone Air Conditioning, Electrical, Plumbing to compete in the Palm Beach Air Conditioning Contractors Association (PBACCA) “High-E-Fishin-Sea-XXVIII” annual fishing tournament. Proceeds from this event go toward the Maury Jacobson Scholarship Fund for Palm Beach County students interested in pursuing a career in HVAC/R.

Welding AFL’s OSV

Bobby, one of our expert welders, was fabricating our stainless steel Oil Stop Valves. AFL’s OSV is designed to confine even large oil spills. The OSV is well suited to those applications where accidental hydrocarbon spills are possible, but unpredictable such as electrical transformers, oil storage areas, and transportation fueling systems. AirMation^® in Ecuador

We shipped 24 AirMation^® units with gas monitoring systems to Guayaquil, Ecuador for the Terrestre de Guayaquil bus terminal. This bus terminal sees 50,000 travelers and 6000 buses daily. These industrial air filtration systems extract vehicle exhaust emissions and other hazardous airborne pollutants, delivering a continuous supply of clean air for travelers, visitors, and staff.

Airefco

Our valued distributor, Airefco, brought 15 of their top selling contractors all the way from the Northwest to RGF Headquarters in South Florida! Lisa Bailey, Sales Manager, led the training which included an inside look at our newest products. Peaduck

What is a “Peaduck”? A baby peacock who thinks she’s a duck! Our resident peacocks, Reme and Halo, laid an egg but it was one of our Muscovy ducks who incubated it, hatched it, and is now taking care of it! The peachick now follows the duck around the property, although they are both confused when Mommy Muscovy goes for a swim in Envisionland’s lake and baby can’t join!

RGF China/Alphay Visit

RGF China Representative Office’s top performing sales team members, along with RGF’s #1 China distributor Alphay attended training at RGF Headquarters in the Port of Palm Beach, Florida. Sharon Rinehimer, Executive Vice President, and Astrid von Oetinger, International Sales Manager, led the training and seminar in RGF’s Shark Tank training facility. The team also toured our 106,000 square foot totally vertical and environmentally friendly manufacturing, warehouse and office facility which allows us to provide the highest quality and best engineered products on the market. After the meeting, the group enjoyed a trip to Key West, including a fishing trip on the beautiful blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico and even got to eat what they caught at a favorite local restaurant! We were pleased to strengthen our bond with our China Team and partner Alphay and are excited to continually provide the best IAQ solutions throughout China.

Avid Air^®

Our Avid Air^® air purification system completed the certification process required by the State of California and is now certified to meet the performance standards for indoor air cleaning devices as required by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). CARB regulations are designed to protect public health from ozone emitted by indoor air cleaning devices. Test emissions from the Avid Air^® unit measured will below the emissions level of 0.050 ppm set forth by the CARB standard. “I am pleased that our engineering team continues to identify unique solutions that address the needs of the future,” said Walter Ellis, RGF’s Executive Vice President. “We will continue to focus on developing cutting edge technology to surpass emission standards.” Avid Air® was developed to help destroy air and surface-born microbials in restaurant restrooms.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe

RGF’s IMSB Ice Machine Sanitizers were tested in multiple Tropical Smoothie Café locations, including their headquarters in Atlanta, for three months. The significant results were verified independently and led to their decision to promote and encourage the installation of RGF technology into all existing 775 Tropical Smoothie Café locations and to include it with their standard equipment package for all future locations which are being opened at an impressive rate of 100 to 120 new stores per year. Their goal is to reach 1,500 locations by 2024.

RGF^® Celebrates Outstanding Growth

Our highly skilled welders, Sonny and Gareth, were in the process of building another Thermo-Oxidizer: Dry Chamber Flash Evaporation System. This TO-150 was going to Highway Transport in Knoxville, TN. This is a new facility where they will be washing the inside of liquid transport trucks. The process begins with draining the “Heals” of the liquid that is remaining in the tank. The first rinse then takes place, which is collected and hauled away because of the heavy concentration. The remaining wash and rinse waters will be evaporated through the Thermo Oxidizer. A TO-150 has been in use for a similar application in Louisiana for several years with great results.

RGF’s Envision Complex Expands!

With the recent contract to purchase of a fourth building, the Envision complex will now span over 9 acres and boast more than 130,000 sq. ft. of offices, labs, R&D and factory space to accommodate our ever growing RGF team. The new building is all steel and concrete construction, including a concrete roof and walls! It includes a storm safe room for employee safety and is fully air conditioned!

Delta-Tube^®XTR

Early in 2019 RGF purchased an advanced polypropylene extruder to manufacturer AFL’s Delta-Tube® oil coalescing media in-house following consolidation of suppliers and consecutive price increases. After streamlining production of AFL’s Delta-Tube®, RGF’s engineers went about improving on the design to create the Delta-Tube® XTR. Following extensive pilot testing, AFL® will soon release the first improvement on a traditional oil water separator design in more than 30 years. The Delta-Tube® XTR will improve performance of AFL’s VTC oil water separators and also offer significant value in retrofitting existing oil separation systems.

RGF-BioControls division has propelled the company into the hospital and healthcare air purification markets with a full range of FDA 510k compliant air filtration products, including the MICROCON® MAP 400-800 high capacity mobile HEPA air scrubber designed to remove infectious airborne pathogens in hospital and healthcare environments. RGF-BioControls products are available through RGF’s existing HVAC distribution channels and offer flexible use in various environments and applications. Lovell Government Services

RGF signed a distribution agreement with Lovell Government Services that will make RGF-BioControls hospital and healthcare products readily available to VA Hospitals around the country. Lovell Government Services (LGS) was founded by Chris Lovell, Major USMC Retired, in 2013 out of a desire to continue to serve by providing specialty medical and surgical resources to the Veterans Administration Hospital System. RGF’s existing salesforce now has the ability to sell RGF-BioControls product line to VA Hospitals through our partnership with LGS.

AirMation offers Protection for Firefighters

The AirMation industrial air filtration system is a high volume air cleaner designed to control vehicle exhaust emissions. The World Health Organization says that diesel exhaust emissions contain significant harmful particulate pollution leading them to identify it as a carcinogen. In addition to the dangers of putting out fires, firefighters are at an increased risk for different types of cancer due to smoke and hazardous chemicals, notably diesel exhaust emission build-up from fire fighting apparatus within the station. RGF’s AirMation reduces occupant exposure to vehicle exhaust by filtering fine particulate and controlling CO/NO build-up within fire stations.

Agriculture Development Lab

Did you know that RGF has an offsite Agriculture Development Lab that we use for our unique research and development projects? Walter Ellis, RGF’s EVP/GM, has leased RGF the use of his ranch facilities located in west Jupiter. One of the barns on the property has a large portion dedicated to research and development of agriculture related products, complete with its own powerful off-site work station (with full 3D modeling capabilities), as well as fabrication and testing equipment for quick sample prototyping. The rural location allows for future products to be developed and tested right in the environment that they are intended to operate. Current projects include using various attractants and UV wavelengths to attempt to reduce fly populations, as well as air treatment systems for odor and microbial control specifically targeted for both equine and general veterinarian concerns. Christmas Party

We recently celebrated our annual Christmas party for over 300 staff, families, and friends at our headquarters in Florida! The kids enjoyed “reindeer” rides from Schmitt’s Pony Ranch and played in the bounce house/slide from Jupiter Bounce. Bumble the Snow Monster made a special guest appearance and started a snowball fight with over 4000 cotton snowballs! We were serenaded by Dawn Marie who performs at Mar-a-Lago for President Trump. Santa and his elf even stopped by to give a gift to each of the 150 children! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us at RGF Environmental Group!
